Our Board

Jacy Gowen

Board President

Jacy (Fetter) Gowen is a life-long resident of Warrick County. After going through new advocate training, Jacy joined Warrick County CASA as a volunteer in August 2015, and subsequently became a staff member in January 2016. Jacy left the position of Volunteer Coordinator in October 2019, but continues to volunteer as an advocate. Jacy has served on the Warrick County CASA board since January 2020. Professionally, Jacy is a residential realtor with Weichert Realtors – The Schulz Group and lives in Elberfeld with her husband and children.  

Dustin Smith

Board Vice President

Dusty was born and raised in Warrick County. Dusty graduated from Castle High School and attended Oakland City University. Dusty is an Emergency Dispatch Supervisor at CenterPoint Energy. Dusty and his wife Amy have two children, Adam and Jaden. Dusty first became involved with CASA while going through the adoption process with Jaden. Dusty was previously a CASA advocate and completed two cases. Dusty also has state guardianship of 8 individuals living in group homes with Easterseals Rehabilitation Center.

Tiffany Bonnell

Board Secretary

Tiffany (Corne) Bonnell is a lifelong Warrick County resident. Tiffany is a graduate of Castle High School and attended the University of Evansville, Indiana University and University of Southern Indiana. Tiffany worked at Quality Coatings, Inc. as a Purchasing Agent and Executive Assistant until she and her husband, Brad, started their family. Tiffany and Brad have three children, Kelsey, Kyle, and Bo. Tiffany has been very active in the local public schools volunteering in the classrooms and holding various PTO positions. Tiffany has served as an advocate for Warrick CASA since the fall of 2016. Tiffany has served on the Warrick County CASA board since March 2019.Tiffany also serves as a board member for Historic Newburgh, Inc. Tiffany has a passion for serving others in the community.  

Erin Stallings

Board Treasurer

Erin lives in Newburgh with her husband, Josh, and their son Isaac.  Currently, Erin is the Secondary Learning Specialist for the Warrick County School Corporation.  As a teacher and school administrator, Erin was able to see firsthand the direct and positive impact a CASA has for a child.  Erin also supports families in need as a board member for Mrs. C’s Closet.  She looks forward to continuing to support the mission of Warrick County CASA as a board member. 

Heather Sommerville

Board Member

Heather Sommerville and her husband, Drew, moved to Newburgh in 2009 and have considered it home ever since.  She graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor's and master's degree in the field of education.  After resigning from teaching to raise her children, Olivia and Jack, she has remained involved with the local schools, various community organizations, and church. In her spare time, Heather enjoys traveling with her family and the best trips usually include a hike and a good book!  Heather joined the Warrick County CASA board in March 2023.

Emily Elsea was raised in Newburgh and returned to Warrick County in 2005. She is a graduate of Castle High School and earned a degree in elementary education from University of Evansville. She currently works as an agency representative for International Student Exchange. Emily and her husband Erik have 3 children- Elizabeth, Liam, and Ryan- and have hosted 3 exchange students. Emily enjoys traveling, photography, listening to Spanish music, and going to sporting events.

Shelby Springstun

Board Member

Shelby Springstun resides in Boonville with her husband, Logan. She is a Hanover College graduate, and earned her MBA from the University of Southern Indiana. Shelby currently works for Old National Bank as an Investment Officer. Shelby has served as a CASA advocate since 2015, and joined the board in 2021. She also serves as a board member and Treasurer for the Boonville Country Club. 

Erin Purdue

Board Member

Erin lives in Newburgh with her husband Aaron. They have three adult daughters, Maddie, Annie and Sara. Erin graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught in the Hamilton Southeastern School Corporation in Fishers, IN before having children. Erin valued and treasured being a stay at home mom for 11 years. Once all 3 daughters were attending elementary school, Erin returned to education in the Warrick County School Corporation; she spent 13 years teaching reading remediation and recovery to students at Newburgh Elementary. Erin recently retired from teaching and is now focusing on the next chapter of her life which includes tutoring, traveling and philanthropy. She is involved with Susan G. Komen, 7 Sisters, YMCA Livestrong program and now CASA. Erin enjoys exercising, reading, spending time with friends and family, and setting new goals for herself.

Dr. Abbie Redmon

Board Member

Abbie is a life-long Warrick County resident. She is married to Tom, and they have three children, John, Marshall, and Lillie. Abbie graduated from Boonville High School. She completed her undergraduate degree at Indiana University, graduate work at Western Kentucky, and her Education Specialist License and Doctoral work at Indiana State University and Oakland City University. Abbie has worked for Warrick County School Corporation for 26 years and has served in many roles - teacher, counselor, assistant principal, and principal. She is currently the WCSC K-12 Director of Learning. Abbile loves helping people develop and grow. Abbie enjoys reading, streaming, live theater, traveling, and, of course, advocating for children. 

Kellie Noe

Board Member

Because of her love of children and educating children, Kellie has served on the CASA board for four years, assisting in fundraising events such as the Girl Friends Gala, as well as assisting in other various areas of need. 

She also serves on the Junior Achievement Board, which encourages continued education with respect to planning and attaining future jobs and careers. 

Robin Cook

Board Member

Robin Cook joined the Warrick CASA board in March 2024 after volunteering with the Gala committee and seeing the positive impact CASA has on our community. Robin moved to Newburgh in 2003. She resides with her husband, Devon and son, Carson. Professionally, Robin works as the Office Manager at Cook Orthodontics managing payroll and accounting as well as community outreach efforts. Outside of the office, she enjoys time with her husband, son, and sweet goldendoodles, Cody and Monty. Robin also enjoys playing tennis, pickleball and golf and would never say no to a fun trip or a good book!

Detective Jason Utley

Board Member

Jason lives in Newburgh with his wife of 13 years, Valerie, and their two sons, Weston and Camden. Jason served in the United States Navy for 4 years before returning home and earning a bachelors degree in criminal justice and sociology at the University of Southern Indiana. Jason has previously worked for the Warrick County Department of Child Services where he really saw, firsthand, the important needs of the children in this community. Jason is currently employed with the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office where he serves as a detective. He also sits on the Warrick County child protection team trying to help bridge the gap between law enforcement and child services. Jason enjoys spending time with his family, watching/coaching football and exercising. 

Sergeant Thomas Rohl

Board Member

Tom resides in Boonville with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two children, Rhett and Oakley. After serving for over seven years in the United States Army, he transitioned to serving his local community. Currently, Tom holds the position of Sergeant at the Warrick County Sheriff's Office, overseeing motor patrol operations. Previously, he worked as a criminal detective, where he investigated numerous crimes against children and other major crimes across the county. Tom earned both his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and an MBA from Oakland City University. In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family.

Warrick County CASA, INC.

What Does Warrick County CASA, INC. Do?
This Corporation is organized to recruit, coordinate, and train volunteers to solely represent the best interests of Children in Warrick County who are abused, neglected, dependent, or delinquent, and who are referred by the Warrick County Courts.  This corporation is also organized to encourage and accept gifts, grants, bequests, and devises of property to underwrite such volunteer services. These services are designed to enhance the opportunities for the children in Warrick County to a legally protected permanent living situation.
